Joe Pool Lake Boating Access
There is one boat ramp in Loyd Park. It is four lanes wide and there is parking for 35 vehicles. The park is operated by the city of Grand Prairie, which also manages Joe Pool Lake boat ramps at Britton Park and Lynn Creek Park. Loyd Park is open all year and they claim you can get in the park 24 hours a day. I have not visited in the middle of the night so I will take have to take park management at its word. There is a $10 fee to enter the park but there is no additional charge for using the boat ramp. The boat launch area has a wide paved area that allows for a lot of room to maneuver your rig and trailer. There is also a courtesy dock where you can load/unload people and supplies.
